RIP Victor Ernest Townley 1918-2015. A kind, sweet man who was a wonderful step-father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He could have died in the 1940's when he was in the RAF. He once jumped a seven foot fence to escape German bullets. He played football as a goalkeeper and was offered a professional contract for the First Division (Premiership today) when war broke out. He was an electrical engineer who was still fixing church lights up a long ladder in his seventies. An ace crown green bowler - his opponents were relieved when he retired! Sadly missed by all the family. We love you, Vic. Sleep in peace.
Welcome to my latest granddaughter, Georgina Eleanor Mary, born 19th June. Fourth grandchild, third granddaughter. Toby, aged three, remains the only male in my family for 90 years. Think pink! The full line up includes two daughters, Alex and Vickie and the four imps, Shannon, Lara, Toby and baby Georgie. I'm a very lucky lady.
Excitement over. Back to the slog of draft number three of my Regency romance, Lady Alice's Dilemma.
