I pay a lot of attention to the reviews my own books receive. Most are positive, a few negative (you can't please everyone) and some are based on errors - an example of this is the word 'corn' which in the UK is used for a variety of cereals including rye, barley, oats and wheat. The reviewer in this case was American and told me that 'corn' was not known in Britain in Viking times. She is right in one sense of course. Maize or Indian corn arrived much later, but I was referring to barley at the time. This is the only review I have ever commented on.
I have written quite a few reviews over the years and posted them to Amazon. This was through sites such as Goodreads and Facebook groups, but I wondered whether anyone out there would like me to give them an honest review of their work? If so, please get in touch with me through my Contact page on this website.
